A Poem of Sorts

With every word you utter,

Lies are uncovered,

But you can’t it stop now,

And in her prayer,

She stutters,

Stop’s and slowly recovers,

Her words felt meaningless,

Her words fell meaningless,

“Now,” He said, “You are all my children.

But only those who are broken,

Will ever reap the benefits.”

So we all stood and sang, “You are not our God!

You are not our God!”

And on her dirty feet,

The child weeps,

Because he spoke like a Savior,

And he was mistaken for God,

But he’s just a man,

A very arrogant corrupt individual,

One who doesn’t see us,

One who doesn’t see us, walking away

One who doesn’t see us,

One who doesn’t see us, walking away

(He lied! He lied! He lied! He lied!)

I had expect you to fail me sooner,

Later you would have broken my heart,

We’ve nothing left to give you milked us dry,

And now it’s ours to take, it’s our turn, it’s our time!
